The Denbigh Dragon

A National Lottery Funded Community Project 2017

In Summer 2017 we were awarded £5000 funding from the National Lottery for our bilingual community project The Denbigh Dragon - The Legend of Johnny Two Thumbs.

We worked with 50 young people, 3 professional actors, 3 support workers and local willow artist Huw Davies over a whole week to devise and create a community performance which took place at Denbigh Castle which was featured on Heno on S4C.

It was written by local West End actor Sean Jones himself a Denbigh boy, costumed with hop sacks and rope this was a whole community effort.
